2. PLAN + PREP

This is the time to compile our portfolio. Images, content, resources, links, all of the information you would like displayed on your website is prepared here. This step will most likely take the longest. I’ll send you my Starter Kit where you’ll send me everything I need to build your website. 

3. Design & Develop

We will begin developing your site using everything you sent us, strategically building a site that is beautiful, purposeful, and ready to convert.

4. TEST + OPTIMIZE

Before launch, we thoroughly test your website on all devices and browsers to ensure flawless performance. We optimize for speed, accessibility, and SEO so your site is ready for success.

5. Launch & Beyond

Once everything’s perfect, we’ll launch your website, do more testing to make sure everything is functional as it is beautiful and prepare you for success with a recorded in-depth training video.

  • Canvas + Code Collective is for creatives and creative businesses who want a website that reflects their artistry while also being a powerful tool for audience engagement and conversions. Whether you're an artist, photographer, baker, filmmaker, writer, coach, or entrepreneur, we build websites that act as digital showrooms tailored to your vision.

  • The timeline depends on the scope of your project and communication efforts, but most websites take between 4 and 8 weeks from start to finish. We prioritize quality and strategy to ensure your site is built for impact.

  • Absolutely! We ensure your site is easy to manage, and we provide guidance and training on how to make updates. If you ever need additional support, we’re here to help.

  • I typically split payments into two—50% upfront and 50% before launch. But if you need a little more flexibility, we can break it into four smaller payments of 25%. Just let me know what works best for you, and we’ll figure it out together!

  • You are required to provide your own content. If content isn’t ready when we reach the design phase, I will use filler text for you.

    I offer a copywriting workbook for all of my website development services.

  • We specialize in building custom Squarespace websites. I can write a book about why I love Squarespace! It’s an all-inclusive platform that hosts your website, domain, blog, e-commerce store, courses, and offers so many features without the use of plugins and widgets. It’s user-friendly for non-coders, and is frequently maintained.

    While most projects can be built and live happily on Squarespace, I do offer hard-coded site services using JavaScript, PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js for extra dynamic projects that require a little (or A LOT) more flexibility in design and development. Reach out if you are interested in this option!

  • Yes, yes yes!! I am here for the glow up! If your current website isn’t working for you, we can absolutely redesign it from the ground up to better reflect your brand and provide an amazing experience for your visitors.
